At Peace for Paws, our mission has always been to support families and the pets they love, through every chapter of life. Recently, we’ve spoken with more and more pet parents who are feeling the weight of rising costs — especially when it comes to essentials like dog and cat food.
These families care deeply for their companions, but financial pressure can make even basic needs feel overwhelming.
To help, we are launching our first Community Pet Food Drive, focused on keeping pets home, safe, and nourished this holiday season.
What We’re Doing
We are raising $1,000, and Peace for Paws will match every dollar up to $1,000, bringing the total impact to $2,000 in pet food.
All food will be donated to Nevada SPCA Pet Food Pantry, which supports local families who want to keep their pets but cannot afford food right now.
We admire the work of Nevada’s SPCA and what they do for our community. We chose them because their mission aligns closely with ours: helping people and pets stay together.
How We’ll Purchase the Food
To make the most of every donated dollar, we will:
- Shop bulk retailers like Costco and Sam’s Club
- Compare sales and prices
- Purchase both dog and cat food
- Prioritize staple foods that help the greatest number of pets
- Ensure all food is reviewed by Dr. Sarena for quality
Important Dates
- Fundraiser ends: December 15
- Food purchasing: Immediately after
- Delivery to Nevada SPCA Pet Food Pantry: Before the holidays
We Will Share Updates
After purchasing and delivering the food, we will post:
• Photos of the food
• Total amount raised
• Match totals
• Delivery photos
• How many bags/cans we are able to provide
Updates will be shared on GoFundMe, social media, and by email.
Let’s Keep Pets Home, Not Hungry
If you’re able to give, thank you.
If you’re able to share, thank you.
Your support will directly help families right here in our community — and that means everything.
