Our Mission

Sarena Olsen, DVM, MS, CPEV
I am Dr. Sarena Olsen, and I created Peace for Paws with one simple belief: every pet deserves a peaceful, dignified farewell surrounded by the people and places they love most.
My path began in Illinois, where I worked as a veterinary technician before earning a Master of Animal Science from the University of Wyoming and my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Colorado State University. Today, I am proud to be one of the few veterinarians in the region certified by the Companion Animal Euthanasia Training Academy as a Certified Peaceful Euthanasia Veterinarian (CPEV).
What sets our practice apart is the level of care we bring to each family. Every visit is private, unhurried, and tailored to your needs—because saying goodbye deserves more than medical skill; it deserves presence, compassion, and respect.
At Peace for Paws, I am honored to lead a team of dedicated professionals who share this same philosophy. Together, we are here to walk alongside you and your beloved pet through one of life’s most meaningful transitions.
When I am not helping families and their pets, I enjoy summer days in the pool, exploring new restaurants in the valley, kayaking with my husband and our dog Halas or curling up on the couch with our cats. These moments remind me why I do this work: because the bonds we share with our animals are among the most meaningful in life.
