Meet the Team
Ellie Russell - Lead Care Coordinator
I’ve spent the past three years working as a veterinary assistant, and I feel honored to now serve as Dr. Sarena’s right-hand while supporting families during one of life’s most tender moments. My role is to walk alongside both pets and their people through the end-of-life care process, bringing empathy, understanding, and compassion to each visit.
When I’m not working, I love spending time with my beagle, Jimmy, or unwinding with a good true crime story.
Desiree' Gallagher, LVT - Care Coordinator
For over 35 years, I’ve had the privilege of caring for animals and the people who love them. My work as a Licensed Veterinary Technician has taken me through every stage of a pet’s life, including helping families say goodbye with comfort, compassion, and dignity.
I understand how deeply our pets become part of our hearts and homes; they’re family. Being able to help Dr. Sarena make those final moments as peaceful and loving as possible, in honoring the bond that has brought so much joy and loyalty over the years, is truly rewarding.
Outside of work, I’m happiest traveling and spending time with family, reading, watching movies and enjoying the company of my own fur-babies and pet pigeons. I enjoy being surrounded by animals, nature, and the people who understand what it means to truly love a pet. After three decades in this field, I still consider it an honor every time a family trusts me to help guide them through such a meaningful moment.
Audrey Cook, LVT - Care Coordinator
I’m a Las Vegas native and have worked in veterinary medicine for more than 20 years as a licensed veterinary technician. I’m deeply dedicated to honoring the human–animal bond and providing comfort to families during one of the most meaningful moments of care. After saying goodbye to my own beloved pets—Jersey, Beanz, and Leilah—with the support of Dr. Sarena, I gained an even deeper appreciation for the peace and dignity that in-home euthanasia can bring. It’s truly an honor to help other families offer that same love and comfort to their cherished companions.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading, visiting art galleries, wandering through antique stores, and spending time with my family. I also love exploring downtown Las Vegas and discovering new restaurants.
Nicole Dupre - Guardian of the Details
I work quietly behind the scenes to keep Peace for Paws flowing smoothly. By managing the details, I help create a seamless experience for families and give our team the space to focus fully on providing compassionate care.
While you may not hear my voice often, I’m always here in the background, making sure everything comes together with ease and heart.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my husband and our two dogs, Taco and Punky Brewster, or relaxing with a chai latte and an art project.
